A little cook out at home

I know I don't cook often, but I cannot deny that I enjoy cooking. Though I am not exactly very GOOD at it, but my cookings aren't all THAT bad. And sure, I don't know how to do any fancy stuff yet, but someday when I have the time I might try out more challenging dishes! Hehe.

I was on a holiday on Monday, so I had a little time on my hand to cook a proper meal:

Fried egg with "lap cheong" and onions

Brinjal with sambal

Chicken curry with potatoes

I will not comment on my cooking, to avoid any bias opinions. Haha.

But they were certainly edible, and none of us got any food poisoning. So, it's all good. Hahaha.

Online Shopping

Recently, I have been shopping online. Just bought something from Ebay yesterday.

Wanted to get the Aqty Pack for Pinky since we will be going to Mulu and KK , needed a casing to protect it from our 'rough' usage. We tried to shop for it in Sony stores, website and their call-to-order hotline but to no avail because this item is out of production. Was lucky to find it on sales in Ebay as this is not a popular item. Turned out the price including delivery was even slightly cheaper than the retail price here is Malaysia. Happy for that!

And just last week bought a pre-order dress from http://stitchpreorder.blogspot.com/
The service was good and the dress looks nice, just one comment though definitely the model looks nicer in it. Next time I will need to imagine if I look good in it before buying. Well, that is one of the drawbacks of online shopping. Nothing beats buying from the rack where you can inspect the goods for defects and ensure that it fits well. Nevertheless, the good side is time savings on the road, finding carpark and be stuck in jam, petrol etc..all in the comfort of your own home and time, even pass midnight when all the stores are closed :)

Actually,buying Air Asia tickets is also consider online shopping. Have bought many of those in the past that are really cheap too. The recent good deals for example is RM52 return ticket to KK, that's even cheaper than cab fare to KLIA... In the last two years, I've also bought Penang and Langkawi tickets below RM50-80.

Online shopping is definitely a new way to shop in the future and is here to stay for sure.
I'd received a notice or warning from Ebay though when I purchased the camera pack, that is BEWARE OF ONLINE SHOPPING ADDICTION!

Once while on one of our food hunts for Wendy's at Mont Kiara, we chanced upon this place which is right next to it.

Decided to give it a try and have been returning ever since!
The record breaking was 3 times in a week for this one time where I took turns to bring my counterparts, friends and family there.

Our starter - Minestrone soup
It is pronouce as mi-ni-stro-ne and I thought it was mine-strone all this while until I found out few mths back when I heard a colleague of mine ordering it

Next up, Porto Romano Salad, great dressing with loads of seafood!

Main course - Lamb Shank, now you see it and now you don't...

Can be served with either spaghetti or salad. Not a meat-lover, I actually beat Jacob to get most of it. This is the best lamb shank I've ever tasted!

The servings are huge therefore order to share with 2 person per dish.

Their genre is more of meditarrean-italian-albanian cuisine, with alot of pastas, pizzas, risotto, paella etc..

Go try it out and judge it for yourselves!

Hong Kong Trip - Part 2

May 16

Even though we sleep everyday before 12am but we have to wake up as early as 8am. Not relaxing at all! lol~ oh well.

Today itinerary will be going to the temple (forgotten the temple name but is one of the famous), shopping, shopping & shopping.

After temple, we decided to have a stroll at the street market around 9 plus! Manatau... all shops are still closed. =.= They normally starts their business after 11am. Aiyoooo..
At 1pm we meet up with my friend's friend and she brought us to buy more clothes at distributor warehouse ( Lai Chi Kok) We shop till mad~ walk till our leg almost broke. We get back to our hotel around 5pm and get ourself clean up and rest for awhile. So tiring! Then during night time we headed out to Expensive shopping malls. Their branded Shops is sooo big!

May 17

Last day to walk around Hong Kong. Today we will be visiting The Peak, we took the tram up to the hill. The scenery was nice but the weather not that nice. So hazzy. After that, we went to another part of city area, New Territory, where all the buildings located and Shopping mall too. We actually have leg pain since the day before. We walk like tortoise. hahaha... I even need to buy the pain killer clothes to cure me.

This is the public tram that I didnt get to sit. I'm so confuse with their route map. It only cost HKD2 for each trip.

Happy Birthday to me ~!!! Our flight is in the Morning. This is where we bid farewell to Hong Kong... I will be back when I have more cash. lol~

Walking Wardrobe

It's been a long time since I have updated this blog. Just reminded Lee Lian and Cherry to continuously contribute to "our space" yesterday heheh. Keep it up :) At least there are some new posts now!

Was trying to recollect what had happen recently by looking through old photos and coming up with a good "story" to write..So here goes

Lee Lian intro'ed this fashion blog to me where she bought the two pieces - a blouse and a tunic to test water. It turned out that the quality was good and price was reasonable as well. Not an avid online shopper myself, I'm used to buying clothes off the rack and trying them on to see if it fits all the right places. The owner was nice enough to allow us to her house to try out her collection of clothes since Lee Lian is an acquaintance.

Sometimes it is ok to pamper ourselves once in a while if we have some surplus that month. Really thank God for that. In contrast to those days where trying to make ends meet was a struggle. Anyway most of our salary is gone a few days after it is out, paying to the banks on our cars, credit card, study & housing loan etc.

You see, Katherine (the owner of WW) came up with an interesting reward system to reward her customer. For each referal, the referee will receive 5% which will be accumulated and can be used to offset future purchases. A week later, I returned with Jacob's sis and his mum as my first referal since I wanted to change the black dress to another piece.Ended up buying some bangles as accessories too... hehe just couldn't resist those beauties :P

Not FDA approved

I was prescribed a "painkiller" for my wrist. I actually googled it, and found out that despite being approved and sold in over 60 countries, Arcoxia is NOT approved in the States! And the fact that it is banned even in ONE country is questionable enough.

(Don't ask me what got me to "research" on this drug. I guess I was just bored, and curious)

Arcoxia is generally a drug used for arthritis. It can also be used for relief of chronic musculoskeletal pain, which is the condition that I have.

Quotes from an article in USA Today on Arcoxia:

...Arcoxia is the "son of Vioxx," says Steven Nissen, chairman of cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. "If it's approved, I believe people will be hurt."

...60% to 70% higher risk of cardiovascular events in patients on Arcoxia...

...Curt Furberg, a Wake Forest University medical epidemiologist who sits on the FDA's Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee, says Arcoxia should not only be kept out of the USA, but also should be withdrawn in all 63 countries in which it's sold. "If it's harmful here," he says, "it's harmful elsewhere."

I took ONE cos the pain is really irritating me right now. I guess a one-week prescription of a low dosage can't do that much of a damage! If it was really so dangerous, it wouldn't be sold in over 60 countries, eventhough the FDA thinks otherwise right? =___=!!

On second thought, maybe I will just stick to Ponstan if the pain becomes really unbearable. Otherwise I will just suck it up and tahan only!

Handicapped

I have been having a slight discomfort around my wrist for about 2 weeks now, which I thought was just a minor sprain. But if it was a minor sprain, it should've gotten better by now. Instead, it got worse yesterday. The slight discomfort turned into pain. I cannot grab anything, nor can I push or pull open a door. Any movements on my wrist and even fingers kinda hurts.

So, I decided to go to my office clinic just to make sure I have nothing to worry about.

The doctor said...well...there was something about some slight bruising, tenderness, inflamation, soft tissue, tendons, ligamens, something like that. Gave me some gel cream to apply, painkillers and bandages. I am also supposed to monitor the progress for 1 week, and if it does not get better I may need to see an orthopedic.

So, yea. I will be having a bandaged wrist for 1 whole week. Pretty cool though. Hahaha. Never had anything on me bandaged before. :P

But the bandage is restricting my wrist movement thus making it kinda hard to work on the keyboard and the computer mouse. But then the whole point of putting the bandage is to restrict my movement so that it can heal better right? Haha.

I don't have daughters. I have all sons.

Hong Kong Trip - Part 1

Ahhhhhhhh..... It's been long. I know you guys have been waiting till your necks turn longer. kakaka... Here are the brief summary of what I did during my stays in Hong Kong.

Oh gosh. Where to start? Here goes...

May 14

My friend and I arrived HK at night 8.30pm then headed straight to the hotel by their most convenient transportation aka MTR. First we took their express train from Airport to Tsing Yi Station and change to MTR to Stim Sha Tsui ( this is where we stay)

Below are the sneak peak of my hotel room. Small & Tidy. oh ya! I stayed for FREE. woohoo.. Orelse this room will be charge RM400 per night. Crazy! Thanks to my friend who working in Capitaland which got such benefits and get to reimburse.

May 15

This will be consider our first day to explore hong kong. Our one and only secure transport will be MTR for our whole trip. So we bought a day trip pass which cost around RM25 or below. :P

First destination : Ngong Ping San (Tai yu San) , We sat their cable car to the top of the hill. The weather was superb, sunny but cool air. Quite chilled. We visited The giant buddha.

This trip took us half a days of ours. Later we went shopping to 1 big shopping complex (near airport) where lots of branded goods are in warehouse price! But the only thing I think is worth buying is Esprit. Their price are really at rock bottom price. 70% off!! I bought a baby T at only RM15. lol~ We hang out in that shopping complex for almost few hours.

After that we decided to pay Mickey and a gang a visit at disneyland. They even have their own design disney MTR. We EVENTUALLY reached at the disneyland Entrance but we decided not to go in. hahaha.. So expensive, i heard ppl saying is not worth going. So we save up some money to do more shopping the next day.

After that, We headed back to the hotel to have quick nap and put down all the shopping bags. First day my legs already feel soooo tired. So we decided to have our dinner nearby. I seriously forgotten what i ate. poor memory. We even visit the HK night lights known as "A Symphony of Lights" at the Avenue of Stars ( One of the tourist spots)

Ok! That is all for my first day at HK.. As for the rest of the days... STAY TUNE! lol~

Food Talk! Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate

It was the 31st of August yesterday, and as usual Baskin Robbins was having its regular 31% discount promotion. Was with my Mom and bro at Tesco Puchong, when my bro wanted to have ice-cream. At that time, it never crossed my mind to purchase the pints (which came in various sizes). So, we bought a scoop each. And well, I didn't know that the promotion does not apply to single scoops, otherwise I would've just bought the 325ML pint, which costs almost the same price as 2 scoops. :P So yes, obviously this is my first time buying BR ice cream on the 31st of any month.

Anyways, my bro had Cotton Candy, and I had my usual Strawberry Cheesecake. After a couple of bites (gosh it was really good!), I suddenly had the urge to get a whole pint (half a gallon) of the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream. So I went back in line (I was only 5 numbers away, so figured it wouldn't take that long).

By the time it was my turn, much to my LUCK, Strawberry Cheesecake was TOTALLY SOLD OUT! No more extra tubs in their store (and I will have to wait till late evening for the new ones to come in). I was like...wtf wtf wtf!! WHY OH WHY didn't I just buy it the first time!!!

*siggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!*

So, I went for a Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate instead. Never had it before, but it tasted pretty good actually. It reminded me of my love for peanut butter (the chunky types) and it goes damn well with chocolate! I still wish I had my Strawberry Cheesecake, but oh well, October's not that far away!

Really yummy!

But of course the calories... =______=!!!

Half a gallon is about 64 ounces, which equals to 16 servings, which means a total of 5120 calories. O.o

Weeee....bye-bye diet plan, and hello ice-cream!

(At this rate, I'm never gonna be able to shed some pounds)

Food Talk! Decanters, Bukit Damansara

Went to Decanters today for our 2-hour lunch break. A very cosy place, and menu price are quite reasonable (not cheap, but reasonable for a cafe that style).

Wild Mushroom Soup- RM5
Not often you can find a normal cafe of that range that serves fresh mushroom soup. Most of the time, you get mushroom cream that taste just like the Campbell canned Mushroom Soup (probably it is). A bit too watery though, but what would you expect out of a RM5 soup?

Salmon Steak- RM28
This looked really good. I did not try it, but according to WC, it was...'okay'. Just like how he said the black pepper udon that he had last week was 'okay'. Haha. But the salmon steak kinda looked better than just 'okay'. Nice presentation though.

Fish and Chips- RM16ish? (Can't recall the price)
I've had the fish and chips before during my previous visit. It was not too bad. Very crispy. JL also ordered the ox-tail soup (forgot to take pic), and the soup was good! Yum!

Chicken Curry with rice- RM10
The chicken curry is actually pretty good too. N seemed to love it, because this was the 2nd time in a row that she ordered this. However, today's serving seemed to be a bit more watery than the first time.

Carbonara Pasta- Price unknown

I'm not sure what they used to replace bacons. Or maybe it was bacon bits deep fried until crispy. PH said it was not bad. Was supposed to try it, but he finished it before I got the chance. Hahaha. Just kidding. :P

Shepherd's Pie- RM10
Two of my several all-time favorite food- potato and minced meat, all together in a bowl! Minced beef with mashed potato toppings. Love it!

A first time for everything

I had my first taste of online shopping! And I realised how EASY it was. All you have to do is click click and click. And it can get quite addictive! Though I did not purchase much, but the feeling that I got when I bought those stuff was...well, it was fun! And I was so tempted to just click away at everything that I see and liked! And it is for this reason I think online-shopping is a dangerous dangerous thing! :|

Anyhoooos, I went shopping for clothes online at Walking Wardrobe by Kath. And I decided to purchase from WW, based on the credentials I got from my trusted friend, L. Sides, the clothes in WW are gorgeous, and reasonably priced as well! I have the same Ann-Charlotte halter dress that I bought from Sunway Pyramid at almost TWICE the price WW is selling! I feel so cheated now. :P

I do not fancy the front of the top as much as I do the back (not a ruffles kinda person). And it was the back that made me decide to get it. The chinese collar adds a nice touch to it.

I also bought this because it was the closest thing I could get after Audrene (see below). I LOVE the Audrene dress, but unfortunately it was sold out. And WW does not restock as to preserve the uniqueness to each buyer (which is a good thing really, but very unfortunate for me).

Food Talk! Yuen Garden Dim Sum House, Puchong

I think we are beginning to frequent Yuen Garden Dim Sum House quite a lot lately. This is our 2nd visit in less than 3 weeks. It is convenient, being only down the road from my apartment. The place is usually packed (on both floors) on weekend mornings. I think that is a sign that this place sells pretty good stuff!

Their mini egg tarts was quite good. Crispy on the crust, and not too sweet on the inside.

I like brinjals, so I kinda like this as well. Soft the way I like it, but not overcooked.

This is some kinda mochi with char siew meat inside. Pretty good too.
(Well, yea it has to be good otherwise we wouldn't pick this everytime we came)

This on the other hand, was our first time trying. Stuffed "yau char kuay". Nice!! But kinda pricey this one.

Their 'wu kok' is also good. :P In some places, their yam (the outer layer) is too thick, and there's too little meat inside. This one is juuuusst nice. :)

Steamed fishball. No comments cos I have yet to try it. Hehe. But should be good too, cos my friend kept ordering it.

"Pai Kuat" (err pork ribs or sumthing). This one is not too bad. I wouldn't say it is great, but we still kinda like it.

There were a few more sets (late orders) that I forgot to take picture of. We had "siu mai", and one more which I don't know what it is called. :P

I am not a huge fan of dim sums, and I have not tried that many dim sum restaurants around KL or Klang Valley. So, it is hard to make comparisons. But one thing for sure, Yuen Garden does serve pretty good dim sums and at a pretty reasonable price too!

Sleepy Monday

I'm so sleeepy! and it's Monday no wonder

trying to keep myself awake is not an easy task now...when you are sleepy, all the "old ppl" sickness will start to come e.g. headache, hot-cold symdrome, backache, joint aches and etc, you name it.....

The weather has been terrible lately with the haze worsening and temperature rising. Feel that my cold never gets heal. I was down with running nose last Tuesday and it was quite bad till I had to take 2 days MC. Went to work as usual on Friday, felt great during the weekends and today ...the thought of my bed keeps on appearing in my head....

I had sleepless night yesterday cause I am still nursing the cough I had from the running nose last week and the weather was so hot that I woke up numerous time to drink some water in the middle of the night and I found myself sweating like crazy.

Linda, who sits next to me at the office is very strong physically despite me blowing my nose and sneezing away she didn't contract it from me.She did popped up a worrying question though, " Anne, you kena the H1N1 flu ke?"....guess these days every one is taking precautionary measures...

For now, I'm counting down to the time till Jacob comes and pick me up after work...hrmm another 2 hrs more, wish I could wind the clock to make time pass faster!!! This is gonna be the longest 2 hrs that I have experience in a long time .........

Well since food is the most common topic and 'language' in this world hehee...

Took the opportunity of 2 hrs lunch break on Friday to try out this place that was introduced by Melissa, another food enthusiast.

The highlight is their set lunch on weekdays only for Rm12.90 that consists of a sandwich or hotdog or potato, a drink and a maxi WM cupcake! Quite a good deal since their drinks and cupcake cost about RM 8.90 and Rm 4.50 for ala carte respectively.

Food Talk! Part whatever: The Courtyard Garden

Okay, so I lost count and I don't know this is food blog number what, and I'm too lazy to check my list.

Anyhooos, we decided to have an "appreciation" lunch for our OUs (operating units) today for all the support and guidance they have given us since day 1. We brought them to The Courtyard Garden at Damansara Heights (behind our office).

The place has a really nice ambience. Cooling and relaxing. Perfect place to come chill and have a glass of beer! The restaurant is divided into several sections. Indoor (non-smoking), the patio (smoking), and there is an upstairs section too I believe.

Chicken Roullade Set Lunch
This was rather tasty actually. Chicken with apricot stuffings. :)

Hainanese Lamb Chop Set Lunch
Cooked to perfect tenderness (well, almost perfect). Though my portion were mostly just bones. But, good nonetheless.

Dessert of the Day
This came together with the set lunch. It was alright. Nothing fantastic, but this was better than the pudding we had from our previous visit to Courtyard.

Overall, the food was good. Our OUs from Australia loved this place, and they have actually been coming here quite regularly for lunch throughout their whole visit.

Don't ask me how I rate. I just simply agak-agak only. Probably if I love it, I'll rate it with least a 4. If I think it's good but nothing GREAT, then it gets a 3. I would probably give it a 5 if the restaurant and food leave a lasting impression and they make me want to come back for more. I think that's fair enough. Hehe.

There was a blood drive by UMMC at our office today. I followed my colleague down and ended up registering myself to donate. It was, though I am not proud to say, my first time donating blood. But hey, better late than never rite? :)

I was issued a little booklet that records my donation. It is called the Sijil Penderma Darah (Blood Donor Certificate), though it doesn't look anything like a certificate. :P

After going through the standard checking procedure, I was sent to the "chair". They wanted to take blood out from my left arm, but somehow the nurse could not find my vein. She said I probably have small veins, and I probably don't do much heavy lifting with my arms. =____= Sad to say, she was right. I dont exercise my arms, and I have VERY weak arms. I think I should start doing some weight liftings.

So, they made me switch sides, and tried my right arm. She managed to somehow detect a vein, though barely. She went for it anyways. Injected anesthesia, and inserted that huge ass needle thingy into my skin. Then blood started flowing. So much blood. I have never seen that much blood in my life! :p

While she was poking the needle around under my skin, I asked, "What if you couldn't find it? Don't need to donate?"

"Then we'll poke around until we find it."

And she laughed.

Hm. Not funny.

But anyways, the doctor initially arranged for me to donate 450ml. But because of my puney veins, the nurse said that we should just try 300 first. Furthermore, this was my first time.

And so, 300ml it is!

I feel so proud of myself! :)

My puppy's got a new haircut- mohawk style!

But A thinks the mohawk is making her look like a horse.

Now I'm just waiting for the front bit of her hair to grow. Then she'll have a fuller mohawk. :P

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Last week we'd just attended the Financial Planning talk given by MyFP Financial Services Sdn Bhd during one of the lunch break at our office threatrette. And it reminded me of the movie named Confessions of a Shopaholic that I had watched recently. The movie was funny, entertaining and yet at the end it has a moral for all of us (esp gals, I won't be surprise guys too) to learn..

The most simple yet BIG question is "Do you need this??", " Can you keep your spending within budget?" and the list goes on..

It might not sound serious to you, but if this buying habit is not kept in check and it gets out of hand, be sure to expect the consequences when the credit card bills come flooding your mail. Ironically, I know a few among the people that I know who are in this predicament now working their ass off to pay the bills.

Most of girls just can't resist the temptation when we spot something pretty that is "nice-to-have". Maybe the experience of working since 15 yrs old to earn my own allowance had helped me to learn how to 'value' things in life and not to simply spend. Eddie and I were having a similar chat the other day about kids these days whose parents are rich and some of his frens are still depending on their parents for money although they have joined the workforce. I can imagine myself coming from a well to do family, yes life can be so easy & comfortable having all the material things in life .....BUT is that something good?......well just to put it this way one won't feel the pinch unless you start to live on your hard earned income.

Personally, I have always believe in the "basics" of life, that is not spending more than what you earn. Just do the simple maths, you might be able to get away on splurging for a few weeks or a couple of months, but this habit will soon catch up with us...... ONE day.

Here is some items that I recently read

Do not use credit card instead of cash
Needless to say, small amount that you charge to the credit card will eventually add into a big amount at the end of the day. Balances you can't pay off each month means paying more interest charges, and that increases the outstanding balance owing

Not having a budget
You might think you have it all under control but you will only know your true financial situation when you put it down on paper! With a budget, you can be assured that you will cut back on splurging and this will be contributed to your savings instead.

I have just received my cc bill this month, looks like I will be leaving 2 credit cards at home for the time being until the next payroll is out.. Not that I spend alot on myself, but fuel, car maintenance, air tickets for holiday getaway were among the main driver of my expenses sigh....

Nevertheless, as advised by the financial planner, we should be putting aside 20%-30% of our income as our savings. That sounds idealistic...in reality if we are able to save at least 10% is also good enough. Time will tell, keep in the FD and watch it grow! It's never too early to start saving.

Breakfast at McDonald's

This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.
The last class I had to take was Sociology.
The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.
Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'
The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.
I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake,
literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.

It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did.

I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling'

His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance

He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.

He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm)..

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes.

That is when I noticed all eyes in the
restaurant were set on me, judging
my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope'

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope..'

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers.
That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.
I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand.
I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it.
Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?'
I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.
She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son,the instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:

Since today is Cherry's birthday, it is the best time to talk about cakes!

And Cherry this goes to you...

we know that you eat very little (can't even finish one slice of cake on your own) so why waste a whole cake right :P Pictures will do right?? hahhaha

This morning, JL came across this interesting blog about this 24 year old construction management graduate from Australia who came back to KL after her studies and decided to pursue her dream of cake decorating. To start it off she took up a 6 mths course to learn the 'art' of baking in US. Orders started to come in from friends and families, supplying to other shops, celebrities like Marion Caunter topping her list of customers and the list goes on. One thing led to another, she decided to open a shop at the Gardens, MidValley and voila...Delectables by Su was born!

Here is a new and handy tip from her website..

Q: Can I keep the sugar model/decoration if I do not want to eat it?
A: Yes, just gently lift it off the surface and wipe the bottom clean. Leave this to dry completely (it should take a couple of days if placed in a dry and cool area). Store in a clean dry box away from direct heat. A small packet of moisture absorber or some limestone will help it stay intact for years. These dry sugar pieces do not attract ants or other unwanted rodents if they are clean.

Just testing out this new-found feature in blogspot where I am able to post directly through e-mail. This would certainly make blogging less obvious when I am at the office, assuming that I won't be THAT lucky to have my company emails screened and checked. :| Hrm, what are the odds of that happening rite? Okay, not helping.

Anyways I know that my entry is LONG overdue, and I could no longer post anything too personal in my private blog since my Mom pops by there once in a while. But then again, I don't really know what to blog about either. Nothing interesting is happening with me. Everyday just the same ol same ol- sleep, work, eat, work, sleep. My past few weekends since my return has been pretty booked up cos my parents came down. This coming weekend should be a lil more relaxing.

Just as I am typing my usual nonsense, Anne and I have decided that we will utilise the gym in Shell House. Twice a week, after work for one hour. Tentatively every Monday and Wednesday/Thursday. IT'S ABOUT TIME I DO SOMETHING AFTER ALL THE TALK ABOUT "WORKING OUT". Haha. Always all talk but no walk! :p We are starting this Wednesday. So it's a good thing. Haha. My mom has been complaining non stop, and her latest remark to me was..."Your thighs are now bigger than mine!"...which sad as I have to admit, it's true. A pair of shorts that fitted me just a lil over a month ago (tho abit tight) could no longer make it pass my hips!

Need to do some serious body firming! So, we'll see how long my new work-out regime will last before I find excuses to start skipping sessions. Anne, you must drag me to gym if I ever say no! Haha.

Soon, I will start on healthy dieting. No more over-eating, and no more fast food. *sigh* I wonder if i can ever give up fast food.

fter work yesterday, we headed to downtown KL to do some research on the latest handphones and its best price range since Jacob had decided to get a new phone for himself. It was easier because he already knew and decided which model to get.. the cool Nokia Music Ekspress 5800!!

It was an impromptu outing with no plans ahead. After we left our office had a quick dinner at his place and zoom off to town by the monorail. First stop, Sungai Wang ...as I decided an earlier hour that I wanted to have a hair cut and my friend recommended me her hairstylist who is on duty at the branch in Sg Wang.

8.50pm..and we are done with all the things we needed to do, made a quick dash to Berjaya Time Square to queue for some Krispy Kreme doughnuts!.... The queue was similar to JCo (another doughnut outlet) phenomenon in Pavillion!

I guess it was their new outlet promotion (first outlet in Msia opened on 27th Apr) where they gave out samples of freshly made glazed doughnuts to everyone in the queue! How nice and smart of them! Most of the people went back with dozens full of them!! So did we, once tasted it and immediately we decided on 2 dozens hahaha!! (one dozen glazed and one dozen of assorted ones)

What an accomplishment did all the things that we wanted to and still managed to reach home at 950pm! Just love impromptu outings, it was turn out nice and satisfying :) Yum Yum!

First Day @ New WorkPLaCe

hmmm...How to start? As usual, I reach the office at 855am aka punctual. kekeke...

How was I being greeted? Straight away the HR Exec bring me to introduce my Finance Manager which is a GUY, fair, chubby and nerdy look! hahaha... then introduce to another 2 colleagues of mine, one same position with me, financial analyst, and the other one is account executive. So basically four of us are under the Regional Finance Team which cover Asia Pacific, ME and CIS (30plus countries). Sounds nice right? So few headcount in finance department, that shows that they FULLY UTILISE the staff. Overall the office is quite small. Below are my artistic drawing of my office plan.

Afterthat, I sat at my workplace and started playing with the emails setting, browsing thru the files. I am inpressed that they are quite up to date. They are using Microsoft Office 2003 and their SAP System are the latest Version ( i think!) Most important thing that my pc can put wallpapers and have internet access! wooHoooo!!

After hearing the good part, there is always pros and cons... My finance manager is abit anti sosial type of guy =.= He didnt talk to me after saying "Hi, welcome on board." and just dump me aside jor... kns! Even my financial analyst and account executive are reporting to the finance controller instead of him. How confusing. I got myself abit worry of not fitting in here. I miss you all especially during lunch hour! sob sob...i guess I don have any lunch buddies. All makan individually. Sad Case. oh ya! u know what? Subway has been stalking me since I started my first job! Whenever I work, there is for sure a subway restaurant there. hahaha...

hohoho! I crap alot already. Actually there are alot more to complain. Nevermind la, keep that for the next blog. tata~

Gals and Cars, do they get along??

After driving abt 60KM to the Lambir Hills National Park somewhere the outskirt of Miri last Saturday, we found the rented car got heated up pretty easily the next day. Still we managed to drive to dinner on Sunday night and use the car to work as usual on Monday.

We realised one thing peculiar, when the car is stationary at the traffic light, roundabout or even when we drive slowly at a constant speed, the temperature shot up to 120 mark (not sure what is the measurement scale for a Waja) , one scale short of reaching the red mark!! Was pretty worrying driving a car that you might not know when it is going to explode!! So I had to drive at high speed (still within the speed limit of 90kmph here) or at least need to keep on accelerating the car to keep the temp down!

Woke up this morning, brought down two mineral bottles just in case the carberator ran out of water. Indeed it was a dry horse!! Dry as the dessert :-o At that point, I thought to myself that the worst things could have happen all these while that we were using the car! On hindsight, wow we were pretty daring to even continue to drive out for dinner on Monday night after our gym session! Thank God that the car didnt breakdown or else we would be stranded somewhere in the heavy rain and have to call for rescue!

And did I mentioned? It was raining like cats and dogs here since Sunday and even at this moment that I'm writing this post. It is sure a weather to snooze!!!
I left the camera data cable at Jacob's place, therefore can't upload any pics right now.
Seriously feel quite handicapped not having a laptop that can perform to its fullest function.
Not sure whether camera data cable can be read from our co's laptop, haven't not try it though. I wouldn't be surprise at all if it is not possible...hehe..

3 more days and counting to return to KL! Time definitely flies pass fast, it is almost end of my 2weeks stinct here in Miri. It is quite a nice place to be if you stay at the Marriott that is!
hehe will definitely miss the hotel's bed, swimming pool, gym, a room with the view of the South China Sea to wake up to every morning and the nice resort 'feel' ambience.....!

Oh well, all in all good memories here and good memories sure last a lifetime :)

Philippines Tour: Tagaytay Part 2- People's Park in The Sky

Taal Volcano

Right in the center of the island is the main crater that holds a sulfuric lake. It is an island in a lake on an island in a lake on an island in the Pacific Ocean (Confusing, I know!).

It was a real disappointment to know that the tour did not include the boat ride and hike to the crater itself. I was hoping we would be able to do that, though we soon found out that the boat ride takes 2 hours, and we will need to horseback or hike up to crater which may take about another hour. We did not have enough time that day, and we were not dressed properly as well. *sigh* Someday, I will return and I will go to the volcano itself, and not just admire from afar!

If you threw a frog into a pot of hot water, the frog would immediately jump out of the pot to escape the scalding water. However, if you put the frog in cool water and slowly bring the water to a boil, the frog would not be any wiser to the rise in temperature and it will ultimately be scalded to death. There is the experiment many people have heard of and are familiar with. Similarly, if we are insensitive to the minute changes that happen around us, then we may end up just like the frog, dead without knowing why.

Many people prefer to remain in their comfort zone and hate the uncertainties that come when they are out of their comfort zone. Many people fear changes so much so that they pretend that changes never happened to them. But why view changes so negatively? Changes can also be for the better. The most important thing is not to fear change. But to face up the challenges and turn them to our advantages

Everything in life, be it work, wealth, fame, love etc has its ups and downs. They are like waves in the turbulent sea, ever changing and unpredictable. What is crucial is to bounce up when you hit the touch, and prepare for sudden changes when you are on the crest. We can never know when to face up to this fact and prepare to turn the tide to our advantages. Remember, nobody can walk the road of your life for you. You have to take every step by yourself. You may have companion along the way, or have people to pull you along when the going gets touch. BUT, remember, you are the only one who is going to walk the full length. So, learn to be strong and anticipate changes. Take control of your life and treasure every moment.

Ching Ming - Grave-Sweeping Day

The date is indicated on the Chinese calendar with the two characters: ching, meaning pure or clean, and ming, meaning brightness. Combined together, Ching Ming means clean and just. This date is also indicated on traditional Japanese calendars, where their culture has a similar observance. In Korean culture, the observance is known as Hansik.

The Ching Ming observance may have had its beginnings as the original religion in China. Ancestor worship is the only native religion to China. Sunday - My whole family went back hometown. which is Melaka for the Ching Ming ( Just in case you guys dunno that Im not local :P). I have to wake up early in the morning at 6am on a weekend and i slept at 2am that night. Gosh! So Sleepy I was. I manage to slept thru out the whole journey. Reach there around 8.30am. Today is a good weather. Cloudy day, less sweat. A nice day to pay a visit to my great-grandfather and grandparents. It is also a day where all the relatives gather around at the cemetary have a chit-chat while preparing for the prayers and other all sort of things. After that, we will gather around to have a lunch festival among the relatives. Does Cheng Meng consider a celebration? Hmmm...

Anyway I reach back home around evening where KL/PJ is raining cats and dogs. What a GREAT time to sleep!!!! oh ya! I have this theta waves CD, Hopefully it can help giving me a good night sleep tonight.

It is a Saturday, and FOR THE FIRST TIME since I have been here, I slept in, stayed in and ordered in! Now I feel so recharged, and so AWAKE....and it is already 3AM!

Started reading one of the new paperbacks I bought. Speaking of paperbacks, books here in the Philippines are SO DARN CHEAP! I mean, they are not cheap as in RM10 cheap, but they sure are a whole lot more cheaper than in Malaysia!

Now I just hope I will have time to read all those books. :|

What else did I do today? I watched cartoons, I ate, I slept summore. Then more cartoons, dinner, chatting, online games. Hm.

And I missed Earth Hour. It was unintentional!! And also, I admit I was a bit chickened out with the idea of switching off all lights when I am all alone in my hotel room. :p

I have received alot of request from our fellow avid 'readers'..ahem ahem :P to upload more photos to enhance this already 'super interesting' blog hahahha (must self-praise abit time to time, syok sendiri :D)

Yesterday, me and Joe Lyn decided to try out this Korean restaurant nearby our hotel. I guess this is the only one here in Miri because so far I have not come accross another...or maybe I might not even if there is another one hidden somewhere ...

I ordered the famous Bibim Bap, and Joe Lyn ordered the bulgogi BBQ!

that comes with these wonderful side dishes..

We got abit over 'excited' and order another KimChi Beancurd soup to share hahah LOL. Nice food is always the 'archiles heel' for us ladies :P Simply Irresistible ....what to do!!!

For drinks we ordered their cute Korean can drinks. These are nice cans to collect or can even be as a cool gift or souvenirs for close friends as suggested by Joe Lyn... Environmental friendly is the way to go!

We literally had the whole place to ourselves after the next table left ...

The population here in Miri is so small that these nice restaurants are usually not filled up during the weekdays. Nevertheless, we were all warm and cosy here with this lil gal (which we believe is either owner's daughter or the waitress') We were sitted in those japanese tatami style cubicle and she came to join us with her lil 'security' pillow and milk bottle! hahaha reminds me of myself in those good ole' days !! I had a very 'comfy' and 'fragrant' security pillow until I was quite grown up and my mom had to get rid of it by telling me the monkey had stolen it away! LOL...for those of you who don't really know, my previous house used to be facing this small area of woods hehehe

P/s the nite before, both of us went to Mr Ho's Fine Food for dinner ahhaaha, didnt really take much pictures there , but the food was quite nice too :P

This calls for only one thing ...and one thing only!!! Exercise.... or face the fact to be called 'cute'

Old man’s bottle mishap leads to his death

A SINGAPOREAN died of heart failure after his penis became stuck in a soft drink bottle, reported Sin Chew Daily and China Press.

The incident happened when the 77-year-old man used the bottle to masturbate.

China Press reported that the senior citizen got his private part into the bottle and only sought help after his penis could not be dislodged from the bottle despite trying various ways such as applying soap water.

Doctors tried to alleviate the man’s suffering by cutting the bottle below the neck but to no avail because by that time, the skin around the penis had started to become inflamed, causing him to be unable to urinate.

His misadventure later led to other medical complications causing his death.

Pretty much nothing to do over here especially if you are alone on a Saturday morning, so the best thing to do is to go shopping!! I went to the Boulevard mall here and got myself some good deals surprisingly! Then headed to the Grand Palace Hotel to try out their dim sum since it was recommended by some 'makan' blog of Miri.. Not too bad, nothing really to shout about though.

Voluntereed to pick up Lin and Joe Lyn from the airport on the next morning and evening because both of them arrive on a different time, so I took the opportunity of Saturday noon time to explore the other 'side' of Miri Town. We've only always been on 'this' side, which is refering to office and hotel and that's about it.

Now, there are definitely many ways to the airport and of course the nearest one will be the best, right?? I'd to remember the way the cab driver used on my first day here and started to head to the direction of Luak Bay. And to my surprise the houses here were like hugeeeee, not just normal bungalows or semi-Ds...we are talking about mansionS! Stopped by to take pic of one, there were lots of them along the road!! Finally found 4 ways to go to the airport from town, hotel and workplace in total :D

And let's take a look at this house, my camera doesn't have those 'wide angle' lens so it can't capture the full width of this mansion!

*Obviously imitation lah, if not how to get THAT cheap rite?? Been eyeing on these for quite a while, but the ori ones were too expensive for me*

The so-called Gladiator shoes, but with wedge. 320php, equivalent to RM25!!
*According to Lisa, you can't get a pair like these THAT cheap in Malaysia. So she bought one too, but she got the flat ones*

Canvas. Light-weight and very very comfortable! 230php, equivalent to RM18!!
*There were 3 colors: Green, Dark blue and Beach. I almost bought all three!!*

Made of something like straw material? I don't really know how to describe the material, but surprisingly comfortable as well. 200php (got extra discount cos it was a display set), equivalent to RM16.

Same as above, but different color.
*Lisa and I got greedy and we bought two sets each, cos its so cheap! (our excuse as usual). In fact, the two of us bought all the same shoes, but in different colors. Well, except for the Crocs, cos she bought Crocs sandals instead.*

Currently, it is my 3rd day in Miri..And yes all alone! This is the first year in my life that I'm alone with no one to celebrate with. Haha ya sounds quite bad but well birthday is just another normal day and it would be so much better to spend with your loved ones.
Well, definitely will do something nice when I get back to KL.

Incidentally, I share the same birthday as my Mom, I'm God's gift to her hehehe...

Tried to transfer the photos from my pic to our company so called '10K' worth laptop..hahah but to no avail...so 'canggih' right 10K also can trasfer pic, or hrmmm maybe I dont know how?????

Dear All,

Finally a day that I stick my butt at home resting... I listen to Lian and Anne advice. Get lots of rest during weekend. No alarm set! I try to sleep plus my dreaming ...zzZzzz...then all of sudden my eyes open wide at 9am sharp! And guess what? 1 slept at 1am and is exactly 8hours!! hahaha... Then i try to force myself to continue to sleep again....It doesn't help at all. I keep on laying my bed for another hour with eyes closed, brain active. =.=

Should I consult doctors? Please Advice.

Suicide? Think twice. You may go to jail for it.

I was just reading this article on thestar online talking about help for the suicidal. I know suicide is against religion and all values, but I never knew we can be procesuted for attempting suicide in Malaysia.

To be procecuted and punished when those who attempted suicide are already at the lowest point of their lives (that lead to such actions in the first place), how could such a law possibly help to improve the situation? Or is this law implemented only to scare and prevent others from attempting suicide? But if they THINK that they are going to die anyways, why would they even be bothered about being prosecuted?

Mr S.Gangadara Vadivel, President of the National Council of Befrienders Malaysia (and author of the abovementioned article) has made a very good point:

"...They need compassion and counselling, not prosecution and punishment.

"...While the laws of the land must be respected, we appeal to the authorities to treat attempted suicide cases with compassion and mercy. The authorities should enforce the law only as a last resort, and that should be to obtain a court order to ensure that someone who attempts suicide seeks medical treatment; or if the person’s actions could endanger himself or others."

Today is already Thursday. Few more days and I will be off to Philippines again. What a mood-killer. *sigh* 2 weeks was bad enough. Now I have to suck it up and be there for another 5 loooooonnnng weeks. I am sooooo gonna be packing up lots of chilli sauce and Maggi Mee there!

Feeling so sleepy and cold now. As concluded by Anne and I, this office is really not condusive for work! Lights are too bright and the air conditioning is too cold, causing sore and dry eyes. Not HSSE at all! Haha. :p

I have Scoliosis a.k.a crooked spine. Didn't Notice le? How it happen? Here some definition below:

What is scoliosis?
Scoliosis is a disorder that causes an abnormal curve of the spine, or backbone. The spine has normal curves when looking from the side, but it should appear straight when looking from the front. People with scoliosis develop additional curves to either side, and the bones of the spine twist on each other like a corkscrew.

Mine stage consider the critical stage. As you know we normal human spine have 0 degree. As for me, I have 57 degree crooked from the bottom spine which cause my upper spine crooked by 20 plus i think. Dont really remember though. So I will fee discomfort all the time whenever i walk too long or even sit too long. Sometimes I always ask myself, how could this thing ever happen to me?? I could be as tall as Lee Lian if I dont have this scoliosis. hahaha..

Before I join Shell, as everyone of us need to go for full body checkup before we able to work here. This doctor is soooo concern about my spine that she insist of me to see the orthopedic doctor/Surgeon Doctor. Then the doctor consult me to do this surgery, where will put this titanium steel into my spine to support and straighten them. This is not a 100% non-risk surgery. Want to know more detail? Call me at 012-3496157. :P.

Anyway, I asked him whether is it a MUST to do such surgery? He say : "No. But in future when u gets older I will feel more pain." So I just ignore and leave on with it. I have been seeing a chiropractic doctor since 2 years back where they help to adjust our spine to maintain the degree of spine to increase. So currently I am in good health . I guess... lol~

So guys, if you see me hunch again, do tell me ya! sometimes i dont realize that i am hunching. I need to use my muscle stregth to straigten up so that I can overcalm it in the future when i get older.

Time flies and it is already March the first qtr of the year...lotsa of counting down to do
Love looking forward to year end where there's alot of fun & happening events...
After our migration 'go live' in July, and we will be on our own with 7-8 mths till our bond expires next Feb.

Well, the next nearest event for me is the biz trip to Miri this Sun. 4 days and counting..
The feeling of travelling doesnt make me all excited somehow, maybe because it is gonna be for work. And not just any work, but new and unfamiliar task..Will just need to go with the right attitude that is to learn the best I can and also don't think of work after office hours and enjoy myself to the max! Hrmm going there alone makes the 'enjoying' part a lil' hard..
Guess it is time for some self-venture !!!

Since my bf is also going to US the same time, he gets to take the 'pinky' and I will make do with the older model of Panasonic Lumix. Have to try to get a new battery these few days as the current one only lasts the most an hour. Definitely will not last me to take those 'wonderful moments' shots :P
And the only souvenirs I can think of that is famous is the sarawak pepper or those pepper flavoured sweets!!. Anyone wants to place their orders? Hahaha

Thought of going to Brunei and the Mulu National Park, if only i can get someone to go with me...
that will be more fun! In order to 'see' Mulu, most website recommends one nite stay at least as there are lots of activities..that is when a good company is needed.

Oh well, need not think so far and worry myself unecessarily will just go with the flow !!!
And pray that everything will turn out well!!!

Fly FM: "Do beaters deserve a second chance?"

On my way to work, half asleep while my boyfriend was driving, I overheard this topic going on on Fly FM. Do beaters deserve a second chance, beaters namely being someone who beats or abuse his/her spouse or other half.

I agree with Anne, that this shouldn't have happened in the first place. But say it did. Someone you loved and trusted. Someone you gave it your all. That person just snapped one day, and hit you. Every person I've asked, their answer was simple- they would walk away. But that is coming out from people who has never been in the situation. Will it be so easy to walk away? Or would you think, after all the apologies and promises, that "This will never happen again!"?

I have never been physically abused. I do not know how it feels. But I do know how hard it is to walk away from a person even though you know he has done the unthinkable. You keep on thinking and hoping that he will change, because you think that deep down he loves you. You keep on waiting on his empty promises you know he will never keep. No matter what he does, you keep on hoping. You keep on living in denial. The stupid things a girl would do. But she will do it anyways.

In the case of this topic, I don't really believe that beaters can change. If they hit you once, they will hit you again. If someone were to ask me what I would do, like most girls, I would say that I will walk away. I do not need to depend on a guy to survive. I have always been more or less on my own all these years.

But then again, it is easier said than done. Will I really walk, if it ever happens to me? MAYBE I will give him a second chance, or rather the LAST chance. But of course it all depends on the degree of the abuse. Was is just a slap on the face? Or is my life in danger? Or what about my children's life, if we already have kids together?

Fool me once, you're a fool. Fool me twice, I'm the fool.

Just love Fridays! Feels fun looking forward to the weekend without having to think of work!
Not that my real work had started yet :P

Had a few impromptu net meeting with Bao Ling, my counterpart in China who is suppose to teach me on corporate tax for China. Had one session from 9.30am till lunch and from 3pm.
She is quite a nice person, willing and patient enough to teach me extras upon request. Hope I'm able to do the work during parallel stage.

Enough talk about work.. it is FRIDAY! hehe

As suggested by Mila who lives in the condo above Plaza Damas, 4 of us headed to La Yosh at Plaza Damas Sri Hartamas for our 2 hrs lunch. It is a Japanse cum 'Western feel' restaurant with is nice food and decent environment. The set lunch is abt RM20++ , comes with a corn soup, salad japanese dressing, salmon donburi and coffee/tea shared between Cherry and I. Being gals (widely known to be able to eat alot but always say cannot eat :P), we ordered chicken wings as side dish and green tea ice cream as dessert. Will post up some of the photos later to tempt Lee Lian hehe!

And voila, we have a new found place for Friday lunch hang outs!! Not to mention there are many other interesting shops in the mall and the sidewalks to spend our time.

Nothing else that is interesting happened, except for Cherry who forgot to bring her hp today. (Third day in a row for being blur) And Lee Lian is all happy to be coming home finally after 2 weeks in Phillipines, which she could have enjoyed better if we were there with her ahhaha!! Right Lee Lian?? :D

It is past 5pm already...can't wait to go home to start a fun filled long 'weekend' as Monday is a public holiday. HOOOORAYYYYYY!

Just another ordinary morning...

Seems like everyone's posted about their mornings. I guess I will blabber a bit about mine as well, since I still do not have the photos of my trip and I'm bored outta my socks (although I'm not wearing any)!

During the initial days after we've arrived, most of us woke up as early as 6ish and meet up for breakfast in the hotel at 7am. But as time goes by, most of us got REALLY lazy, and will only make it to the restaurant/bar as late as 7.45am. A very good example today- yours truly.

Grabbed my usual stuff-pancakes, eggs, fish fillets and whatever else that LOOKS good-and stuffed it all in within 15 minutes. And of course my morning glass of orange juice. Their buffet varieties are not too bad actually, except that they're mostly the same everyday. And when you have them EVERY morning of EVERY day, it gets rather boring actually.

Walked over to our OU's office, with the incredibly strong and irritating wind in our hair as usual (believe me, if u leave a kid walking around on her own, she would probably just fly off the road). We think the wind is most probably because we are situated right next to this HUGE lake (or lagoon).

Well, that's about it for my morning. I am supposed to be updating my work instructions (WI) and doing MORE dry runs, but I guess the fact that I am leaving for HOME SWEET HOME tomorrow has already gotten me in the no-mood-for-work mood. :p
Will see if I can get the photos from Linda by lunch time.

Woke up super early today about 6.30am.

Feels great to wake up early, but now I'm feeling the effect of lack of sleep.
Maybe it is just all in my 'mind' that I need many hours of sleep....

And when I reached office about 7.40am, a few of my fellow colleagues commented that I was 'early' today....And I had to explain my story over and over again..
My bf had to go to the US embassy for an VISA interview appointment at 8.20am.
Picked him up from his place and zoomed to drop him off at KL Sentral to catch the train.
His company assigned him to go on a business trip to Arizona next 2wks time...super jeolous wei

It was really a mix feelings for me ...Disappointed because initially we'd planned to spend a weekend together in Miri to go sightseeing since our birthdays are coming up...wasted (could have done many other things with RM300) on the air ticket as it is non-transferable or changeable. And happy because Arizona is where the reknown Grand Canyon lies!! One of the seven wonders of the world, how often one can witness it in our lives!

Wish I could tag along..but I need to go for biz trip myself to the humble town of Miri. Joe Lyn informed me that there are lotsa gwei los there...at the office as well as in the hotel. And somehow she also added that there are good looking ones!! hahah what a motivation to be there...Well too bad personally I dont really fancy caucasian men.

Looking forward to 5pm ...but still have to wait till 630pm..

NUMBER 483

Morning Blurness... why 483? Is actually stand for blur people. I'm studying this behaviour number, so must fully utilized the knowledge & numbers. :P

Today is a 483 day for me because i ONLY realized that i didn't bring my Security Pass and GID card is where i was about to go through the office security gate/door. Phang look at me and said: "hah? Now only you realize ah?" I answering him back saying: "errr... ya.....?" I look at him and he look at me...then to be continue...

Lesson 1: Always hang your ID Tag before you leave the house.
Lesson 2: Remind yourself on Lesson 1
Lesson 3: Always remember, is not the end of the world, there is always have alternatives ways

After that, I register myself at the reception and apply for a temporary security pass. (Easy huh?), Then I called 1010 and tell them how "SMART" I am for not bringing my GID card to work. He just gave me a temporary password which can last for 7days. 15 minutes later... YIPPIE!! Now, here I am online and blogging at my workplace. hahahaha...

Thank God she only typed 'wei' and went off to do her things..her next sentence was supposed to be ' I'm very sleepy' !!!!!!...

I exited that chat window (at lightning speed :P) , and Cherry wasn't aware of it until I had to IM her in another window to inform her!!

Now Cherry is worried and is asking how to block her TM for one mth hoping that by then she will forget about it LOLL..
